Rasya’s heart twisted painfully as he look around at the shattered pieces of their lives and realized how much his carelessness had impacted others. His mind keep replaying the timeline like a cruel reminder. The sudden wave of heat, the mistake, his carelessness—everything. If only he hadn’t allowed his body to betray him that night. How could a single mistake, something so small, have led to so much much pain? The damage had been done. There’s no such thing do-overs. Deenan noticed that his Papa has always been that kind of person whose pride should always be put above others. All his life, he has seen his Papa going around and acting like he owns the whole world under his palm where he can order whoever he desires to do whatever he wants. That’s why Deenan’s expectations were already low, but somehow, this is far more beyond what he expected the decision would be. And if his Papa thought he would forsake either Rasya or the baby, then this is the furthest he could allow his Papa to go.

Deenan is their perfect successor who does everything perfectly without the needs to be asked and the needs to be told. He’s smart, he’s kind, well-spoken, reliable, considerate, confident in his abilities yet humble, he’s respectful and has a good heart. Oh, dear, he’s perfect in every sense. But Deenan might has been too perfect for a long time. So does Dimi, who has been above the clouds way too long, until he forgot how it feels to set his foot on the ground.

As best friends, they both tagged along in the same difficult situation. It’s undeniable that they are currently covering up their best friends’ wrongdoings. They could be dragged into the upcoming consequences, too. Yet, it’s too late to take few step back because they already knew way too much. But then again, they have no right to mingle and/or interfere in the decision-making that is considered the best for the problem by their best friends because it’s beyond their realm. And no matter what decision that will be made, all of them would still be blamed for their actions. So, it is wise for them to start on trying to understand each other more since it most likely would be only four of them until the finish line.
